Who is Patsy?

We had one CD in the truck for the 6 hour road trip we took to first meet this trailer and her previous owners. Maybe LaAnna was delirious from the long ride or from listening to Patsy Cline's Greatest Hits so many times on the way, but when she got out she said "That looks like Patsy!"

Why Magic?

Because nature is magic. The Gila Wilderness is magic. And we want to create Trail Magic. And, why not?

When are you going to be open??

We've been running the bake shop every weekend since mid-June. It's been a smashing success.

Is has also, unsurprisingly, slowed down renovations on the trailer. We're taking a winter hiatus to to finish that work up, and we'll be back open with the trailer then. See the main page for the latest updates.

Will Patsy be mobile?/Going to events etc?

Yes! And, no.

Patsy's Magic Diner is installed in a 8x20 foot homebuilt, dual-axle trailer. She's absolutely mobile, though high-speed travel is not recommended.

But we're keeping her in one place, here in Gila Hot Springs, NM about 4 miles south of Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument (and the end of Highway 15!). We live and work here and love this quiet little village.

We want to be parked here to serve the many visitors to the Cliff Dwellings, the hikers/explorers of the Gila, and especially our local community.

Are you on Social Media?

No. We are both pretty old school and believe that success can come from real world connections and communications.

Who are you guys?

A couple of wanderers who landed here in Gila Hot Springs together in February of 2024.

Mike, from Portland, OR, has been a cordwainer, leather worker, computer programmer, teacher, long distance biker and thru-hiker. LaAnna, from Middle Tennessee, has been a hotel manager, yoga teacher, writer, artist, and goat farmer.

They both love reading, word games, the great outdoors, slow travel, cooking, baking, and dancing.
